project: Temporary Installation for Christmas

Christmas season concept for De WitteTafel Restaurant in Eindhoven. Visual representations of Christmas such as Santa Claus, Christmas trees, snow flakes were avoided. Working with a small budget, bells of varying sizes were attached to an assortment of second hand cutlery purchased from thrift shops and used throughout the restaurant. A jingle bell ensemble is created as the customers dine.

A red carpet symbolizing a giant aids ribbon sets off from the entrance and connects to all the tables in the restaurant. Vertical flower bouquets descend from the ceiling upon each set of lit candles on the tables gives tribute to the transient life of the exceptional artiste.
